Denville Woman Arrested After Fleeing Crash, License Plate Left At Scene: Police

A 48-year-old Denville resident was arrested after fleeing the scene of a crash on the early morning of Monday, March 11, police said.

At 12:45 a.m., Denville police responded to a crash at North Shore Road, officers said. A vehicle driven by Laura Decroce fled the scene prior to officer's arrival, though the license plate of the vehicle was left at the scene, police said.

Officers were able to locate the vehicle and Decroce. She was arrested and charged with driving while under the influence and aggravated vehicular assault, due to injuries suffered by the driver of the other car, police said.

Decroce was processed and released pending a future court date, police said.
